This is the fancy new Tahoe that we had for about 10 days and then one morning David was stopped at a red light and a woman plowed into him. The witnesses and cops estimate she was going about 45 miles per hour when she hit David. It did not appear that she even touched her breaks. They hit so hard it knocked the spare tire from under the Tahoe off and David said it was laying in front of the car. Luckily no one was coming through the intersection and David was first at the light so he did not hit anyone although is car was pushed about 30 yards forward. She broke her leg, toes and had to have surgery but is recovering and very fortunate that no other medical issues were caused. The Tahoe has about 4,500.00 worth of damages to the lift gate, bumper and exhaust.
She does not have insurance. Wonderful.
After the wreck we picked up the rental car and headed up to watch the Panthers lose to the Ravens. we had great seats and a lot of fun! I got to meet up with my maid of honor Erin to do some tailgating and catching up! it was great to see her and our Charlotte friends too!
I will admit that forward progress has slowed on the house but we have gotten to have a little fun, a wonderful Thanksgiving with the Bullocks a boat ride on the Reel Jim to watch Flotilla in Wrightsville Beach and I have gotten my first DIY wedding project done and out to all my girls!
